Target wanted to celebrate Black History Month in a big way. They had relationships with a number of A-list black entertainers and enlisted a few of them to tell their stories. They tapped Iman, Debbie Allen, John Legend, Holly Robinson Peete, Brad Simms and more. The project began with creating a look and feel for the campaign that could translate from print to broadcast. Next was interviewing the personalities and working with Kwaku Alston to capture their energy. The deliverables were a series of full page newpaper ads, a double page magazine ad, posters for schools and a 30 second TV spot.
